Gasaufbereitungsysteme auf Basis Nafion
Perma Pure offers a wide range of Nafion®–based Sample Conditioning Systems for a wide range of source and ambient emissions monitoring applications. They have been developed for long-term reliability in the harsh applications found across the CEMS industry. Short descriptions of the products are shown below.

GASS 2040 Gas Sampling System – The gold standard of gas sample conditioning systems, providing a higher higher moisture removal capacity than thermoelectric peltier coolers while not affecting the SO2 or NOx levels in the sample gas. When standard coolers fail to dry to a dew point low enough to lower the acid dew point, the GASS2040 will be required due to its ability to get to a lower dew point. Because the GASS2040 removes all moisture in the vapor phase, measurements are more accurate. This system is required for ultra low sulfur fuels or ultra low emissions requirements.
MiniGASS Gas Sampling System – Available in General Purpose, Nema / Type 4x and Probe versions, Mini-GASS™ systems prepare hot gas sample streams for high performance gas analysis. Our most popular system, the Mini-GASS units remove particles, acid mists, and water vapor from a gas stream without the loss of analytes. An Ammonia Scrubber to protect the Nafion dryer is also fitted. Nafion based systems are the only products that can remove moisture from the sample stream without affecting the SO2 content. At low sulfur levels, traditional coolers loose up to 90% of the analyte and cannot be used for accurate measurements.
The IndiGASS Gas Sample Conditioning System – With a rugged Nema / Type 4x corrosion resistant enclosure especially suited for corrosive environments, the Indi-GASS™ system prepares hot gas sample streams for high performance gas analysis. The IndiGASS removes particles, acid mists, and water vapor from the exhaust gas stream without any loss of SO2. Nafion based systems are the only products that can remove moisture from the sample stream without affecting the SO2 content. At low sulfur levels, traditional coolers loose up to 90% of the analyte and cannot be used for accurate measurements.

MicroGASS Gas Sampling System – Problems occur when the sample gas is extracted from a wet, warm area and brought into a climate controlled area for analysis. The MicroGASS system incorporates a Perma Pure Nafion® membrane dryer, disposable 0.1 micron pre-filter and eductor to supply a clean sample to an electrochemical sensor. The dryer is sized to supply a 20-80% RH sample from ambient air at a flowrate up to 2 L/min. The product will remove mositure to a level required for the sensor to handle without the need for instrument air or water traps in the sample line. The Microgass is also required where the sample is hot and wet – the MicroGASS includes a heated dryer internal to the device and heated sample lines from the source.
AmbiGASS Gas Sampling System – Designed to be used with a dry air source (typically instrument air dried to a dew point of -40 C), Ambi-GASS™ systems prepare non-condensing, ambient temperature gas samples for analysis with no electric power required. Even when the water content of the gases is not condensing, water can interfere with analyses or contribute to corrosion and maintenance problems. Ambi-GASS systems typically provide dew points from -15 to -25°C.
ACES Gas Sampling System – Designed to be used when no dry air source is available, the ACES is set up with a vacuum pump and Nafion dryer in reflux mode to dry the gas sample on the spot. The Perma Pure ACES™ systems prepare gas samples for analysis by electro-chemical sensor (ECS) analyzers when the sample is too humid for analysis but not condensing at ambient temperature. AC Power is required.
